Wyoming Pronghorn draw FAQ

How are these Wyoming pronghorn draw odds calculated?

Every number comes straight from Wyoming Game & Fish's official 2025 demand reports: at each preference point level we divide successful first-choice applicants by total first-choice applicants. Nothing is modeled or estimated unless marked. What you see is what actually happened in the 2025 draw.

How many pronghorn hunts can I draw with 0 points?

In the 2025 draw, 54 Wyoming pronghorn hunt codes drew at 100% for residents with 0 points, and 8 drew at 100% for nonresidents with 0 points. Set the points stepper to 0 and sort by odds to explore them.

How does the Wyoming pronghorn draw work?

Wyoming runs a 75/25 draw: for each hunt area and license type, 75% of nonresident tags go to the preference-point pool (applicants with the most points draw first) and the remaining 25% are drawn at random, so even a zero-point applicant has a real chance. Each year without a tag adds a point. The odds here are the actual 2025 results at each point level. Nonresident elk applications typically close January 31; deer and antelope late May. Verify at wgfd.wyo.gov.

What's the difference between Regular and Special pronghorn licenses in Wyoming?

Wyoming splits nonresident pronghorn tags into two price classes drawn from separate quotas. Special licenses cost significantly more but draw from a smaller, less crowded applicant pool, so at the same point level your odds are usually better in the Special draw.
