Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the huntNotes mobile application (“App”) or visiting our website at huntnotes.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. The App is operated by AWM-Studios (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Tier

The App offers a free tier with core features including session logging, waypoint creation (25+ types), photo attachments, sighting and harvest tracking, basic 2D map viewing (2D Topo and 2D Satellite), current weather conditions with deer movement score, and one offline map region.

4.2 Free Trial

New users receive a 14-day free trial of Premium features upon first app launch or account creation. During the trial, you have full access to all Premium features. After the 14-day trial period expires, your account will revert to the Free tier unless you subscribe to a Premium plan. A 3-day grace period may apply before features are restricted.

4.3 Premium Subscription

Premium subscriptions are available at the following prices:

  • Monthly: $4.99 per month
  • Annual: $39.99 per year (save 33% vs. monthly, equivalent to approximately $3.33/month)

Premium features include unlimited offline map regions, 3D Topo and 3D Satellite map styles, hourly and 7-day weather forecasts, full analytics dashboard with pattern detection, weather correlations, comparative analysis, keyword correlations, and high-quality offline map downloads.

4.4 Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID or Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

4.5 Managing and Canceling Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:

  • iOS: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > huntNotes
  • Android: Go to Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > huntNotes

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Premium features until the end of the period you have already paid for.

4.6 Refunds

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Refund requests must be directed to the respective platform:

You retain ownership of all content you create in the App, including sessions, waypoints, sightings, photos, notes, and other data (“User Content”). By using the App's sync features, you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you. We will not use your User Content for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable hunting regulations.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks.
  • Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access.
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is the property of AWM-Studios and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Location and weather data are provided for informational purposes only. Do not rely solely on the App for navigation or safety-critical decisions. Always carry appropriate backup navigation tools and follow local hunting regulations and safety guidelines.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AWM-Studios and any affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time through the App settings. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, though provisions that by their nature should survive (such as limitations of liability and indemnification) will remain in effect.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Apple and Google Specific Terms

15.1 Apple App Store

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and AWM-Studios, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App. Apple is not responsible for any product warranties or claims relating to the App. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.

15.2 Google Play Store

If you downloaded the App from the Google Play Store, you acknowledge that Google has no obligation or liability with respect to the App or these Terms. Any claims related to the App should be directed to AWM-Studios, not Google.
