Wyoming Draw Odds 2025

Pick a species to explore odds for every hunt code by unit, season, weapon, and your preference points, computed from Wyoming's official 2025 draw results. Nonresident elk applications typically close January 31; deer and antelope late May. Verify at wgfd.wyo.gov.

How the Wyoming draw works

Wyoming runs a 75/25 draw. For each hunt area and license type, 75% of the nonresident tags go to a preference-point pool — applicants with the most points draw first — and the other 25% are drawn purely at random. Points build predictable odds over time, yet a zero-point applicant still has a real chance every year.

Nonresidents also pick a price class: Regular or Special. The two draw from separate quotas, and because the Special pool is smaller, the same points often draw better there. Toggle Regular and Special in the tool to see the exact difference for your points.

Residents draw from their own allocation with far better odds, so set your residency first. Remember these are last year's actual results — point creep means the most sought-after areas usually need a bit more each year.
