Colorado Draw Odds 2025

Pick a species to explore odds for every hunt code by unit, season, weapon, and your preference points, computed from Colorado's official 2025 draw results. Applications typically due early April. Verify at cpw.state.co.us.

How the Colorado draw works

Colorado awards limited licenses through a preference point draw: applicants with the most points are drawn first, and each year you don't draw (or buy a point) adds one to your total. That makes odds predictable. For most hunt codes there's a point level where your odds hit 100%, and this tool shows it for every hunt.

A wrinkle worth knowing: for high-demand hunt codes, Colorado runs a hybrid draw where a share of tags is drawn at random regardless of points, so even zero-point applicants have a real (if small) chance at trophy units. Hunts with a hybrid component are badged in the tool.

Residents and nonresidents draw from separate allocations with very different odds, so always toggle to your residency. And remember: odds here are last year's actual results. Point creep means high-demand hunts usually need slightly more points each year.
